4. Mise-en-scene recreation

Costumes The first character who hands over the paper is wearing a suit so I had one of my actors in a suit. Lighting The clip has high key natural light so I filmed the scene outside to recreate this. Actors expressions Throughout the scene the characters display feelings of confusion, excitement and shock. I believe my actors were able to accurately display these feelings through the use of facial expressions and tones. Makeup The characters had blood on their face and to recreate this I used fake blood which created a similar look to the characters in the movie  Props In the movie the main prop is the document which is handed to the characters for which I used a sheet of paper and a pen. 11. Cinematography Blog Task

In the opening scene from ‘The Dark Knight (2008)’, cinematography is used to create a tense atmosphere that attracts the attention of the audience and keeps them invested by giving them a look at the intense action and crime that happens in the world that the movie is set it. At the beginning we see a close up of a clown mask in a man’s hand which connotes chaos which we see soon after this shot. The next scene shows two men zip lining from one building to another with a very long drone/crane shot which shows how high up these criminals are and gives the audience a sense of how daring and dangerous by showing how high up they are also showing they’re willing to do stunts that risk death to commit their crimes.
